7 years agoGreat Bar with great people I’ve been going to that bar before it was called Escapade back when it was LA Pierre it was one of the first gay Bars I came out to the owners are wonderful people and the staff are just as amazing Always a good time and fond memories of having a great time there Thanks for the memories to you all.

4 years agoI have been a patron for almost 9 years and just a few months ago became one of the staff! I hade never had a bad experience at Escapade and love everything from the events to the all inclusive atmosphere that this little hidden gem in Altoona provides!

7 years agoI am happy that escapade is a part of our local GLBTQ community! I have been frequenting the place since 2003. The owners are friendly and the staff love to joke and have fun with you. Everyone is welcome to come. I bartended here over the years and enjoy getting to know everyone! For the people that have posted on here that the bar is biased towards anyone they are wrong! We have many unique individuals who identify in different ways! We should be thankful that the community has a place to go to be themselves!

4 years agoAlways welcoming and friendly regardless of sexual identity or orientation. Seasonal drink specials and competitively priced drinks. Monthly drag shows that are always a community hit. The staff and other patrons make everyone feel welcome in this cozy drinking establishment.

4 years agoAbsolutely love this bar. The bartenders are pleasant and friendly to talk to. Very non-judgmental environment where you can easily talk with others and feel safe. I've had a blast every time I've gone. Drinks are a good price and they have a convenient ATM for those who forget cash!

year agoA friendly location, good place to come and have drink at a reasonable price. Kim has been my bartender each time and she’s very personable and has good judgement about people. Hasn’t been very busy the couple of times I’ve been in, but the service has been attentive because of it. Never had to wait at the bar for a drink. Would recommend as a good place to relax and enjoy a pint. I can’t speak to the food as I’ve never had any (besides the bagged chips), but they have a kitchen on site that serves food until midnight.
